Utah Fun!!

Woohoo! We survived traveling with just me and the two kiddos! They traveled out to Utah really well. You would not believe how many people stopped to help us along the way. We even ended up with a new stroller, thanks to Delta. Excellent customer service. We left at 4:30 am to drive to Kansas City (3 hours) and made it onto the morning flight standby. Sandra and Hayden picked us up at the airport (unbeknownst to anyone else). We sure surprised Dad when he saw us! He had been stewing about how to get the car seats and other details. What a relief! Next was to surprise Grannie Tannie and Bugga Mark. Mission accomplished! As I was downloading photos, I realized that the trip was so fun I hardly paused to take a picture! The two major events were Hayden's blessing (my nephew) and Kal's first time swimming (see the post below). Here are some photos of our trip to Utah!Daddy Daughter Date
My dad and I hit a Jazz game. It was a blast! He knows so much about the players and the history of the Jazz it was a lot of fun just learning so much about them. It was a lot of fun to see the Jazz play so well as a team; they really performed! The best part was just being with my dad and having him all to myself!
Jocelyn enjoyed a lot of time with her grandparents. Here she is napping with Grandma Campbell. Aren't grandmas the best??
Here is the family of the day! Buck and Sandra and their beautiful little Kari (who Jocelyn misses immensely) and darling Hayden. It was so fun to meet him! He is a doll and a very sweet boy!
We had a chance to go visit my longtime friends, the Carbaughs. Mike was my soccer coach for 7 years and friend for life! It was fun to catch up with Mike and Robin. Kal just couldn't get enough of Mike's goatee (he just kept stroking it) and Jocelyn had enough candy to last her a lifetime! We miss all our friends out West.
Ahh, the destruction to come. Two big boys. Sure they look sweet and innocent now. I can just see it . . .
It was sure fun to see Grandpa Bruce and Grandma Mary! They came all the way from Texas! We are excited to see them again in May. There was a lot of family there that we had not see in a long time. It was fun to hug them and see that they are doing well.
Look at that attitude! Go, Kari! Go, Kari! Jocelyn and Kari had a fun sleepover at Kari's house. It is so fun to watch them play together. Grandma Campbell had a fun grandkids night while I went out with my dad. Later in the week, Bugga Mark and Grannie Tannie took them to see "Horton Hear a Who" and then to Arctic Circle for dinner, ice cream, and to play. Needless to say, they didn't want to come home!
Here are some cute shots of Kal becoming acquainted with his long-lost relatives! We wish we could see all of you more often!
Thank you everybody for making time to see us and hang-out! Burgundy and Brick and Candice had to make a special trip to see us. These trips are always too short! We can't wait to see you guys in June! Make sure you read the post about how much fun we had with the Flammers and their swimming pool during Kal's first swim!!
