6 Years ago today . . .

We were sealed in the Bountiful Utah Temple for time and all eternity.
Since Brandon is back in Ohio, I celebrated with our little sweeties.
We went to the Bountiful Temple.
It was fun to talk to them about the temple on the drive over.

Here are some photos:

There was another couple there getting their post ceremony photos taken. A lady gave Jocelyn the bouquet to hold for a minute and after chatting, pointed at us and told the couple, "Ok--6 years from now, guys!"

Afterwords, we went to IHOP for lunch.
Bugga met us there and gave River a fancy hat
She thought sitting in the high chair was the coolest thing ever.
River just wants to be where the big kids are and she loves it when she can do anything they are doing!

Jocelyn and Kal had choc chip pancakes with funny faces.
In talking about her pancake (above), Jocelyn said, "My pancake's eye is kind of lazy."

River and Candice and their afternoon nap

Watching "Tinkerbell" with Grannie Tannie

After kiddos went to bed, my parents toasted to us with sparkling grape juice.

I love being married to my best friend. I cannot believe it has already been 6 years and that we have experienced so much in this short time. We have added 3 kids to our family, graduated from BYU, lived in 6 places in 3 states, made several wonderful friends, had at least 10 jobs between us, almost finished med school (Brandon graduates in May!!), started massage therapy school (I graduate in August), flown over 15,000 miles each in trips to Utah and Texas, driven 6,600 miles in trips from Utah to Missouri/Ohio, have seen several Church history sites in Missouri, Nauvoo/Carthage, and Kirtland, and have had many ups and a few downs. We are really enjoying our life together. Marrying Brandon is the best decision I have ever made. I am filled with joy every time I experience the consequences of that decision--the best of those are Jocelyn, Kal, and River and being with my best friend forever.

I love you, Brandon! Happy Anniversary!

Almost normal . . .

For those of you who care
(I know you are just dying to check my blog daily to see the progress--wink)
This is by no means a flattering photo of myself (keep in mind this is not an acne treatment, but a treatment for acne scarring) but I look almost normal! I don't think I scared too many children at the grocery store today!

Racoon Eyes

Day 2:

My brother-in-law, JJ, gets some great tan lines on his temples from his sunglasses every summer. I think I may have him beat on the "sunglasses tan line" look. What do you think?

Ny fafe iv num

Brandon did a rotation with a plastic surgeon (Dr. David Dellinger) at Ohio Valley Plastic Surgery. He does laser surgery, among other things, and I went in for a consultation because he gives students a great discount. I have never loved my complexion, so I went in for a consultation. He said a laser peel and profractive laser treatment should get rid of my acne scars (thank you Argentina). The best part . . . he did it FREE!

Here I am right after (Jocelyn took the photo for me--she's getting good!)

I'm not mad. My face is numb!!! Here is a short video of me after, for your viewing pleasure. I talk funny. My eyes were numb, too. It was wierd because it felt like they were closed, but I could see. I was dentist numb all over my face.

Ok--now after watching that (I was a little loopy at the time) it reminds me of Joker. Scary what drugs will do to you!

"Gosh, girl, you're huge!"

. . .as said to Gloria the hippo on Madagascar II. I can relate! These photos were taken a month ago.

On a cheerier note, this is my personal record for pregnancy--I made it past my week appointment without being wheeled to the hospital and induced! I had an ultrasound last week and was told she is already 7 lbs (of course, that's give or take a pound) so she is big enough and I really feel big enough! My blood pressure has been good and things are going well! I just may discover what it is to just go into labor this time!

Here is the belly currently . . .
