This is from an email that I sent February 16,2008, thinking, "I wish I had a blog to post this on!" Here it is:
We are doing well here. Tonight Jocelyn told me that "reverent is for prayer time" and "we think about Jesus (when we take the sacrament) because He loves us." She also told me that He comes in her room at night and gives her a kiss and hug and says, "I love you. Good night!" She is very special and sweet. I never know what she is going to say next! She loves PB&J "framiches" and oatmeal. She loves to sing and read and play with friends (especially Adalin, but the group is expanding). She also love to go to "school" (she is in a younger version of Joy School) and dance and has a lot of friends.
Kal is the chubbiest little kid! He is really strong and loves to smile and rough house. He likes to eat your face and when the family sings together, he likes to sing along with us. The best way to get him to stop wiggling and grunting in his bed is to sing. He stops and listens and goes to sleep. His new skill: falling asleep where ever he is, no matter what else is going
on, right at 7:30 pm. He is on the verge of sitting up and
occasionally tries to roll over. He likes rice cereal and hates
oatmeal. Green beans are ok with rice cereal.
Brandon is doing well in school--very excited for the bookwork to be finished. He is deciding whether or not he is going to run the 5K on April 12. He is still playing intramural basketball and soccer (our team is in the championship game Tuesday). He helps a lot with the kids (even getting up in the night or really early in the morning with Jocelyn). He loves to play with the kids and still tries to fit in as many movies as possible!
DeAnne loves being at home with the kids and is looking forward to playing outside again! There is a lot to do here. She has Spring cleaning fever. She was on the committee for the February Fling (over 120 people came) and we won a free meal at KFC and used it on Valentine's day so she didn't have to cook! We also won the grand prize drawing--a night's stay in a themed room at Depot Inn and Suites!! Now to get a little boy to sleep through the night . . .She is still involved in Cooking Club and exercise group and loves to go to the library with the kids on Thursday mornings. She is playing intramural soccer on Brandon's team and is training for the 5K in April.
